Mogotex JSC plans to export to USA market
In January, 2013, Mogotex team as a part of Belarusian delegation visited the United States of America. The visit was dedicated to the business negotiations between Belarusian companies and American textile importers. A meeting with American Apparel Association (AAFA) as well as presentation of а consulting company Greenberg Traurig were the key events.
AAFA gathers more than 380 internationally known companies and presents more than 1000 world-famous brands. The Association also presents for its members legislative and economic support, as well as provides direct contacts with apparel producers, designers, raw material importers, certification of goods in USA. Thanks to the Association assistance, more than 200 contracts are drawn up monthly. During the meeting with Mogotex JSC managers some important cooperation issues between Mogotex and AAFA were discussed.
Besides business meetings, Mogotex JSC took part and shared the booth with other Belarusian textile companies during international exhibition TexWorld 2013, which was held in New York, NY, USA. TexWorld — is one of the biggest events on the territory of the Northern America, dedicated to textiles and ready-made garments. In 2013 more than 200 exhibitors from Europe, Asia and USA took part in the event.
Fabrics of Mogotex JSC won a first prize in Trend Show contest: 2 patters were included into the Spring/Summer 2014 trends. Mogotex had already carried the palm in 2011.
«Two years ago, when at United States, we wanted to get acquainted with the local textile market, as it’s not possible to study the peculiarities of business relations and game rules staying at the home office. Having been at the Show, we felt like our goods were quite attractive to the American consumers. That’s why during this year visit we’ve already known with whom and how to talk to. At TexWorld 2013, the interest of the visitors has widened from fabrics for special wear and uniforms to the interior and decorative cloths. It goes without saying that close cooperation requires close studying of standards and quality, but the main result is that our company has been accepted by such a closed and complicated market thanks to personal communication», - announced Victor Matievich.
