MOGOTEX JSC ENTERS AFRICAN MARKET
Mogotex JSC is a leading textile producer in Belarus and the CIS countries. The company cooperates with foreign companies, exports 84% of fabrics and continuously works to diversify markets. “Mogotex” plans to enter the African continent and export products to the Zambian market and to neighboring countries such as Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa and others in 2019.
The Republic of Zambia is a state in South Africa with a population of about 14 million people. Zambia is interested in special clothing and uniforms for defense and law enforcement agencies of the region such as the Zambian Air Force, the Ministry of Defense of Zambia, the fire-fighting service, the police and other agencies.
“We have great chances of supplies to this region. We offered to the Zambian Air Force uniforms that are made from the best special materials of our company: acid-resistant, waterproof, flame retardant, antistatic fabrics. By exporting our products to many countries in Europe and Asia, we are proud of the opportunity to enter new continent,” said Victor Matievich, General Director of Mogotex JSC.
The Zambian military delegation (Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Air Force of Zambia, Military Attache, Air Force pilots, Clothing Department Officers and Deputy Logistics Officers) visited Mogotex in December 2018. “Mogotex” specialists gave a tour around the plant and showed the samples of special clothing and uniforms. Within two days, the samples of trousers and skirts for Zambian Air Force officers were prepared and sent for approval. It also has been agreed that the samples of Air Force uniforms, shirts and raincoats will be sent for approval.
“Mogotex” specialists arrived in Zambia on a return visit in January 2019. They visited the main base of the Air Force and Clothing Department.
Now “Mogotex” team are designing a special pattern for field uniforms, making samples of uniforms, trousers, raincoats and high-visibility vests. During March-April, representatives of the Zambian Air Force will test the special clothing of Mogotex JSC in order to evaluate its quality. After that the samples will be sent for approval to the Commander-in-Chief of the Zambian Air Force.
Mogotex JSC produces more than 200 types of fabrics with special protective properties: flame retardant, waterproof, antistatic, acid-resistant, dirt-repellent. The assortment line also includes signal fabrics with persistent fluorescent dyeing and biocidal fabrics designed to protect and prevent the development of harmful pathogens (bacteria, fungi). All fabrics are developed and tested in the own laboratory of "Mogotex". The company's products are exported to more than 15 countries of the world.
